Abacus Insurance Brokers Inc., a Los Angeles-based program manager that distributes specialty insurance products online, has partnered with Golden Bear Insurance Co. for its new online residential earthquake program.
The program enables a homeowner to select from a variety of deductible approaches from a single insurance company. Clients can select the deductible basis as either a percentage of the dwelling limit, a percentage of each coverage, or a percentage of the total insurable value. The available deductible options are 10 percent and 15 percent.
The program allows customized limits for supplemental structures, personal property and loss of use. Coverage for hardscape is also available.
The program is admitted in California and distributed online through the Abacus broker network with real time quoting, issuance and servicing.
Stockton-based Golden Bear has provided earthquake insurance in California for more than 30 years.
