You treat these employees the same as you would any other employee that is prescribed pain medication. Why would you have someone on vicodin operating heavy equipment any more than one on medical marijuana? This isn’t rocket science folks.
According to my Doc, Vicodine is no longer available because it became a drug of commerce.
All my wife pain meds come with the “Do Not Operate Heavy Equipment” warning on it. When she took flexoral, she couldn’t do anything because it just knocked her out.
BTW, them injections don’t work. All you end up with is roid rage.
whether your are in favor or against the use of medical marijuana aside, why doesn’t the federal law trump all lower court decisions and laws? it is still illegal by federal statute. period. the supremacy clause of the U.S. Constitution says so.
“Over the course of the worker’s treatment, Reeve testified he had injected Maez with Toradol and had prescribed Soma, Ultram, Sprix, Percocet, Lortab (oxycodone), and hydrocodone for pain.”

It does trump it, but if it’s not being enforced what does it matter?
Oh the irony!

I’m still amazed that so many people view marijuana with the same misguided “Reefer Madness” attitude of long ago.
Ignorance has a long shelf life.
