Los Angeles, Calif.-based Topa Insurance Co. has promoted three people to key positions.
Chuck Williamson has been promoted to assistant vice president and controller, Tina Epstein Abrams has been promoted to assistant vice president in commercial wholesale brokerage and Tyna Baran has been promoted to operations manager in commercial wholesale brokerage.
Williamson joined Topa in 2011 as controller, and has had responsibility for financial reporting, accounts payable, regulatory filings and collections for all the companies within Topa Insurance Group.
In this new role he assumes greater responsibilities.



Abrams is responsible for leading the wholesale underwriting team.
Her role includes the development of marketing strategies, referrals and underwriting guidelines and facultative reinsurance purchasing. Abrams joined Topa in 2014.
Baran joined Topa in 2001 as a junior underwriter.
In addition to her senior underwriting duties, Baran will be responsible for managing the technical assistant team.
Topa is a property/casualty insurer offering business and personal insurance, as well as specialty program insurance.
