A man in east Idaho is getting a settlement from the company that used his American Built trademark on 88,000 shirts sold in Walmart stores.
KPVI-TV reported the undisclosed settlement was reached out of court and is going to Nicholas Carson, who started American Built Apparel in Pocatello, Idaho with a childhood friend about two years ago.
Carson says he realized Walmart was selling a shirt with his trademark while shopping in Logan, Utah.
Hybrid Apparel settled with Carson, agreeing to sell off the remaining inventory and stop manufacturing the shirts.
The company did not respond to requests for comment.
