Monterey, Calif-based Capital Insurance Group has named Brian Janitschke chief actuary.
His responsibilities will include directing the actuarial functions. As a member of the executive team, he also will be accountable for carrying out the company’s business strategy, operational goals and financial objectives.
Janitschke has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry in property, casualty and professional liability. He began his career with the St. Paul Cos., working in various locations with increasing responsibilities, and eventually became regional actuary in the commercial insurance division.
He co-founded Curry MacWilliam Janitschke. Other positions include vice president and actuary at Collins, vice president and chief pricing actuary and professional liability product leader at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. and most recently senior vice president programs product/territorial leader within the QBE programs division.
