Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty has named Hugo Reyes a senior underwriter in General Aviation for North America. Reyes is responsible for the underwriting of complex General Aviation risks and broker development and management.
Reyes joins Allianz with nearly two decades of experience. After graduating from Daniel Webster College with a degree in Aviation Management/Air-Traffic Control, he began his career with the U.S. Aviation Insurance Group (USAIG) as a claims representative; Reyes held a variety of positions within USAIG including underwriter and assistant vice president before joining Swiss Re, ultimately managing the West coast office as vice president.
He is based in Colorado and will report to David Watkins, regional head of General Aviation.
