Fortuna General Insurance Agency has acquired Simi Valley, Calif.-based Appleby and Sterling.
Appleby and Sterling’s Mike Maurer and Sue Fodor will be joining Fortuna as production underwriters.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Appleby and Sterling, founded by Walt Maurer in 1983, is a wholesaler that focuses on small to medium sized brokerages.
Fortuna is based in the Simi Valley and offers an array of products and carriers, primarily commercial.
