Workers’ compensation insurtech Pie Insurance has launched its first national television advertisement campaign with an initial focus in California.
The two 30-second spots depict Pie coming to the rescue, interrupting the routine of small business owners “unaccustomed to an easy online shopping experience” for workers’ comp coverage.
“Our ads are a fun way to showcase how we’re disrupting the small business insurance industry,” John Swigart, Co-founder and CEO of Pie Insurance, said in a statement. “With a name like Pie, we wanted to do something different.”
The television ads were created by R2C Group, a Portland, Ore.-based advertising agency. Initially, the TV ads are being aired on national cable networks, local broadcast networks in Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco.
Pie’s online quote tool has reportedly been used nearly 100,000 times. Pie claims small business owners can get a quote online in three minutes, or through commercial agent and broker partners offering Pie Insurance across the country.
Pie Insurance provides workers’ comp insurance directly to small businesses and also partners with local, regional, and national insurance agencies to provide coverage.
