Burns & Wilcox has named Sylvia Ornelas associate vice president in addition to her current role as director, personal insurance, in the Los Angeles, Calif., office.
Burns & Wilcox also promoted John Heaner to associate managing director from underwriting manager, commercial insurance. Heaner is based in the Burns & Wilcox Tampa, Fla., office
Ornelas works on the direction and overall growth of the Los Angeles office while overseeing the personal insurance business. She reports to Tim Burnett, corporate vice president, managing director, Burns & Wilcox, Los Angeles.
Ornelas began her career with Burns & Wilcox as an underwriter technical assistant nearly 24 years ago.
H.W. Kaufman Group, parent company to Burns & Wilcox, has over 60 offices across the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom.
