Builders & Tradesmen’s Insurance Services Inc. announced access to an expanded workers’ compensation coverage option, which is now available in California, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Nevada and Texas.
BTIS expects additional states to be added to the coverage by the end of the second quarter.
More than 400 eligible class codes are available, including recently added options for truckers, cannabis ventures and ghost-policies. Carpentry, wallboard, painting, trucking and others will be considered.
“Construction has been on a wild ride this last year, and is expected to grow at a fast clip in 2022,” Paul Holbein, CEO of BTIS, said in a statement. “We plan to stay ahead of the curve – our goal is always to meet and exceed the needs of the marketplace, by adapting as we go and remaining flexible.”
Founded in Rocklin, California in 1988, BTIS provides commercial insurance coverages like general liability, small business, workers’ comp, commercial auto, builders’ risk, and inland marine, as well as excess and surplus products and contractors’ license bonds.
