California Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara has made two appointments to the California Insurance Guarantee Association Board of Governors.
Both join the CIGA board in a member insurer seat with terms ending on December 31.
Heather Pierce is assistant vice president and actuary for State Farm. She is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. She is also a member of the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety Research Advisory Council.
Andrew Chick is president and CEO of Lawyers’ Mutual Insurance Co. He is a member of the Care West Insurance Co. board of directors and a member of the National Association of Bar Related Insurance Cos. board of directors. He has been reappointed to the CIGA Board of Governors.
