Various media outlets have reported shots were fired into the home of the head of Oregon worker’s compensation insurer SAIF Corp.
The outlets are reporting that the early-morning Feb. 21 shooting occurred at the Lake Oswego home of the SAIF CEO Chip Terhune, however no injuries were reported.
Following the shooting, Terhune reportedly sent an email to SAIF employees stating:
“We have received an email threat purporting to be from the person(s) responsible,” Terhune wrote in a Feb. 22 email obtained by the Oregon Journalism Project. “Although it does not target any specific employee, the email references knowledge of employee and relatives’ names and addresses.”
