The Sullivan Group named Thom Smith president and CEO.
Smith will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, advancing strategic initiatives and driving long-term growth across the organization. His focus will include expanding treaty reinsurance partnerships, creating a managing general agency and introducing an insurance solution for California homeowners.
Smith joined The Sullivan Group in 2010 as president of Sullivan Brokers, and he most recently served as executive vice president of G. J. Sullivan Co., Reinsurance. He has more than 40 years of leadership experience with both U.S. and global reinsurance companies.

The Sullivan Group is a privately held specialty reinsurance intermediary. The company was founded by Gerald J. (Jerry) Sullivan.
