CAMICO, a CPA-focused program of specialty liability insurance for the accounting profession, has launched a Subpoena Services Resource Center to enhance its subpoena services for CAMICO policyholder CPA firms.
The Subpoena Services Resource Center will provide information, resources and template letters pertaining to subpoenas, including a “Frequently Asked Questions” document as well as related materials on Internal Revenue Service and Treasury regulations. The Resource Center augments services currently offered to policyholders, including a claims hotline for individual specialized assistance.
CAMICO claims specialists assist policyholders with several hundred subpoenas per year, advising policyholders on how to comply with a number of rules and regulations that are intended to protect client confidentiality. No claim or potential claim is required for a policyholder firm to access unlimited use of the company’s subpoena services.
In addition to subpoena assistance, CAMICO offers policyholders an array of other practice management tools that can be utilized in efforts to protect CPAs from potential claims. Those tools include a loss prevention hotline, a tax advice hotline, an accounting and auditing hotline, and pre-claim and claim assistance.
