The Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina’s Young Agents announced the dedication of a Habitat for Humanity house.

The Young Agents partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Wake County to build a house in Knightdale, North Carolina for a single mother and her son.

The dedication ceremony, scheduled for 2 p.m. on Aug. 23, will include an official ribbon-cutting at the home where the homeowner will be in attendance as well as Habitat Wake and IIANC representatives.

The IIANC Young Agents Committee undertook construction of the Habitat for Humanity house as their annual state project. The group worked throughout 2007 to raise $70,000 in contributions from independent agents and company partners to fund the project.

Construction on the home began in February and was completed in August.
