Dirt bikes, snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles will be allowed on most city streets in Providence, Utah.
The city council has approved the new ordinance, which will go into effect in October.
Drivers of off-highway vehicles will still have to obey the same requirements that motorcycles have to for traffic rules, licensing and registration.
The city ordinance also requires that all OHV drivers have liability insurance. Providence decided to make the change after the city of Millville passed a similar ordinance earlier in September 2008.
