U.S. Risk Underwriters

U.S. Risk Underwriters, a subsidiary of U.S. Risk Insurance Group, launched a new professional liability product for the medical tourism industry called MedTour Pro. Designed for medical tourism professionals who arrange for people to obtain medical services outside of the United States, it covers damages caused by any actual or alleged negligent act, error or omission by the insured while providing or arranging for these services. MedTour Pro was developed with the Medical Tourism Association and is written with an A.M. Best “A” rated carrier on a claims-made basis.

Chubb

The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies broadened its homeowners coverage in Texas by introducing unlimited extended replacement cost coverage. In the event of a total covered loss, Chubb can pay to fully rebuild or repair a home even when the rebuilding costs exceed the customer’s policy limit.

Chubb’s extended replacement cost coverage amount in Texas had been capped at 50 percent above the policy’s limit.

For covered losses, Chubb now also provides homeowners and condominium owners with unlimited coverage for debris removal, rebuilding to code, and loss of use, which pays for the costs of living elsewhere while a home is being reconstructed or repaired.

MetLife Auto & Home, NewMark Insurance Services

MetLife Auto & Home, which recently announced it is expanding in Texas, added Austin-based NewMark Insurance Services as an appointed agency.

NewMark Insurance Services is led by President Henry Font and Vice President Karen Font. Together they have been in the insurance business for 27 years. NewMark was founded in January 2008.

Insurors Group, Shepard Walton King

Insurors Group LLC added Cameron Investment Company Inc., dba: Shepard Walton King Insurance Group, located in McAllen and Harlingen, Texas.

Shepard Walton King Insurance Group was formed in 1995 when Bob Shepard, Neal King and Bob Walton bought the South Texas insurance business of Alexander & Alexander.

The Insurors Group, based in Austin, includes nine other member agencies.

Combined Agents of America

Austin, Texas-based Combined Agents of America added Aars & Nelson Insurance Agency LP and Barnard Insurance Agency LLP as its 34th and 35th members.

Founded in 1930, Barnard Insurance is headquartered in Wichita Falls. The independent insurance agency not only serves Wichita Falls, but the surrounding areas.

Aars & Nelson Insurance has provided the people of Clifton and the surrounding areas with all lines of insurance since 1929.
