Louisiana Commissioner of Insurance Jim Donelon has warned licensed insurance producers in his state about an alleged scam that involves possible fraudulent insurance covering habitation risks including homeowners associations, hotels, condominium developments and apartment buildings. Possible invalid coverage, binders and or/policies have been placed through an unlicensed individual named Michael A. “Mike” Ward of Illinois and his related entity, JRSO Inc., according to the commissioner. Donelon said his office has been contacted by at least one entity that appears to have been victimized by the alleged scam.
