A Eugene, Ore., company has sued Columbia Sportswear, accusing the larger company of stealing Innovative Sports’ technology and using it to make a successful line of heated clothing. The Register-Guard reported the smaller company wants Columbia to stop making the clothing in question and wants to be paid for the losses it says it has suffered.
The suit was filed in Lane County Circuit Court. Columbia’s senior director of investor relations, Ron Parham, says his company is aware of the lawsuit and reviewing it. He adds, “We believe the suit is without merit.”
