Massachusetts Insurance Commissioner Joseph Murphy and his insurance division staff held an insurance awareness and education event at the South Station, a major commuter hub in Boston, on March 6.
The commissioner was on hand at the event – titled “Know What You Have, Learn What You Need” – to answer consumers’ questions and discuss insurance awareness and changing weather patterns.
“In the last two years, unexpected weather catastrophes in the Commonwealth resulted in millions of dollars of damage to homes, businesses and vehicles,” he said. “We want to ensure that consumers know they have the proper coverage, and that they understand what their policies will and won’t cover, before they’ve been affected.”
