The family of a 24-year-old woman hit by a truck and killed while riding her bike in San Francisco has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against a Bay Area food distributor and its truck driver.
The initial police report blamed Amelie Le Moullac for the Aug. 14 crash on Folsom Street. But after a bicycle advocate tracked down a surveillance video from a nearby business, police changed the report to say the truck driver was at fault.
The suit names Milpitas-based Daylight Foods, and the driver, 45-year-old Gilberto Alcantar.
No criminal charges have been filed.
