Former California Insurance Commissioner Chuck Quackenbush has decided to move his family from Rio Linda, a semi-rural community a few miles north of Sacramento, to Hawaii, the Los Angeles Times reported. Quackenbush resigned July 10 after months of allegations that he used millions of dollars from an earthquake fund established by his office to further his political career. He still faces criminal investigation by the attorney general for his handling of settlements with insurance companies. Quackenbush’s attorney Don Heller said that the former Insurance Commissioner may write a book about his experiences.
