Lloyd Eisenrich, president of Weatherby-Eisenrich Inc. in Andrews, Texas, has been elected president of Combined Agents of America LLC (CAA), headquartered in Austin.

The other members of the 2010 CAA management committee are:

Chairman of the Board Bill Bridges, executive vice president of Duncan, Fraser & Bridges, Pampa, Texas;

Executive Vice President Don B. Hudson, vice-president of JHC Insurance Agency Inc., Victoria, Texas;

Second Vice President Michael T. Siegeler, president of the Siegeler Insurance Agency Inc., Giddings, Texas;

Secretary Roger Luttrell, president of Benton-Luttrell-Brown, headquartered in Van Alstyne, Texas, with another office in Sherman;

Treasurer Denny Bryan, president of Bryan Insurance Agency, Graham, Texas; and

Past President Don C. Jones, president of Crockett Insurance Service, Houston-Walker Counties Insurance Service and Crockett Financial Service, Crockett, Texas.

Each CAA management committee member is elected to serve a staggered two-year term.

Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Corporation (LWCC) has promoted Lloyd Colvin to Occupational Medicine manager. He succeeds Jules P. Debetaz, who retired in May.

Colvin has an extensive background in provider relations. He has been with LWCC for 12 years, serving as Occupational Medicine Client Relations supervisor and most recently as Medical Bill Review supervisor.

Houston-based HCC Insurance Holdings Inc., announced that effective Aug. 10, W. Tobin Whamond, executive vice president and chief financial officer of HCC, will become chief operating officer. Brad T. Irick, who joined HCC in May, will become chief financial officer.

Irick was formerly with PricewaterhouseCoopers for 18 years, where he served as audit partner for several multinational public insurance company clients, including HCC.

Mark Croucher, an insurance agency owner in Jenks, Okla., has announced his candidacy for the office of state insurance commissioner. Croucher, who specializes in health, life and senior oriented insurance products, began his career in the insurance industry in 1997. An independent insurance agent since 2004, he established The W.H.Y. (We Help Youthat’s WHY!) Insurance Agency LLC in 2007.

Croucher, a Republican, said his understanding of health insurance, and concern for his fellow Oklahomans during these tough times, led to his decision to enter the commissioner’s race.

Current Insurance Commissioner Kim Holland also is a former agency owner.

Excess and surplus lines broker Maclean, Oddy & Associates Inc. (MOA) has appointed Sharon Schiappa as vice president and producer. She is based in Houston.

Schiappa brings more than 25 years of marine and energy insurance experience to MOA, working in both retail and wholesale brokerage and serving both United States and international clients.

Previously, she was an assistant vice-president at Marsh working on on large marine and energy accounts. She also has served in various roles at other insurance brokers and agencies, including McGriff, Seibels & Williams, John L. Wortham, Anco, Wetzel and Johnson & Higgins.

Tammy Armer, commercial and farm underwriter with Westphalen Insurance Services, has been elected president of the Central Oklahoma Chapter of CPCU Society. Also elected were: Vice President David Wilhite, project manager with Farmers Insurance; and Secretary-Treasurer Brad Fast, marketing representative with Zurich Small Business. The newly elected new officers begin their terms July 1, 2010.

The Central Oklahoma Chapter supports the University of Central Oklahoma’s Insurance program with scholarship contributions each year through its annual golf tournament.
