Colonial Names Dave Rather VP Sales for Northeast

Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Co. announced that Dave Rather has been named Vice President of Sales for the Northeast region, including Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and New York. He’ll also be responsible for Colonial’s public sector business in Rhode Island, Connecticut, Virginia and Ohio.

Rather recently joined Colonial after 16 years with its parent company Unum Provident, where he served as Director of Distribution for Unum Limited, with responsibility for driving sales growth, managing inforce business, compensation planning, training, management development and Internet strategy.

He began his career with Unum as a sales representative in its Denver office, and served as office manager there and in Columbus, Ohio.
