The PMA Insurance Group has been named as one of the “Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania” in a state sponsored awards program inaugurated last year. It joins Harleysville Insurance, which was similarly honored (See IJ Website Nov. 30)
PMA, the State’s 33rd largest employer, underwrites property/casualty insurance, specializing in workers’ compensation. It’s the largest writer of integrated disability business in the U.S., based on the number of clients. In addition to its headquarters in Blue Bell, PA, it also has offices in Allentown, Conshohocken, Erie, Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, Ridgway and Williamsport.
The survey bases its selection on 75 percent of employee evaluations of the company, and the results were welcomed by President and CEO Vincent Donnelly as showing that “PMA’s employees believe they are part of something special.”|”pma, insurance, group, chosen, one, of, penna.’s, ‘best, places, work’
