New York State Insurance Department Superintendent Gregory Serio will speak at the Insurance Brokers’ Association of the State of New York’s (IBANY) annual fall reception Thursday, Oct. 24 at The Down Town Association in New York City.
Admittance to Serio’s presentation is available only to those who pre-register for the event. Prior to the reception, Superintendent Serio will comment on today’s regulatory challenges in the insurance industry. Serio will focus on the efforts of the Insurance Department in the aftermath of last year’s terrorist attacks, and its role in regulating the difficult market facing the New York broker community.
IBANY will present an award to Serio for his extraordinary leadership of the New York insurance marketplace. IBANY also will present its first company award, which will be given to the company that IBANY members view as providing the most responsive, creative and effective products and support for its brokers during the past year.
