The Professional Insurance Wholesalers Association of New York State Inc. and the Professional Insurance Agents of New York State Inc. announced that the 2003 Specialty Markets Directory is now available online.
“Members can access this directory by logging onto www.piaonline.org, selecting Resource Center, and clicking on the Specialty Markets Directory in the N.Y. section,” said the announcement. The directory was previously available in printed form only. The PIANY’s Industry Resource Center will maintain the Directory and will update it on an ongoing basis, “insuring the latest information is available.”
“The PIANY/PIWA Specialty Markets Directory provides markets for risks available in New York state written through PIWA wholesalers, as well as information to help retail producers understand and comply with regulations that govern the excess lines marketplace,” stated PIANY President David Isenberg.
“This directory provides PIANY-member agents information and access to New York coverages available through PIWA members along with the names and contact information for each firm that can place a particular coverage,” noted PIWA President Edwin Levine. “It also contains information on how to do business with wholesalers, including regulatory requirements, as well as details on PIANY’s MarketBase™ and Appointment Access programs.”
