The announcement noted that “Martin drafted the association’s original bylaws and continues to act as an advisor to the organization. He has written several articles for nationally recognized trade publications including National Underwriter and Business Insurance.”

Palmieri has been an industry representative for more than 27 years. He is a member of the executive management of The Hartford and is past director of the National Alliance of Surplus Lines Offices.

“Recognizing the contributions to our industry by these two men is a fitting tribute,” stated PIWA president Edwin Levine. “Our sector has been enriched by their dedication and commitment.”

“The education session ‘Building Value Regardless of Market Conditions’ will focus on strategies behind some of the most valuable wholesale operations, ” the announcement continued. “Kevin Stipe, CPCU, senior vice president of Reagan Consulting Inc., will explain why these tactics work and ways to implement them in any market cycle. ‘Are You Ready for the Next Market Cycle’ will show what wholesalers and companies on the front lines do to prepare for market shifts. Maureen Caviston, president of Partners Specialty Group; Kurt Bingeman, president of Russell Bond & Co.
