Professional Insurance Agents of New York State Inc. President, T.J. Derella, CPIA, and president of Kingstar Co. of Kingston, N.Y. is scheduled to testify today on the need for the New York Property Insurance Underwriting Association (NYPIAU) to institute commercial liability coverage for general contractors.
Derella will offer a producer perspective on whether Superintendent Gregory V. Serio should exercise his authority to create, in NYPIUA, a residual market for commercial liability insurance.
The hearing is scheduled to begin today at 9 a.m. in the Legislative Office Building Hearing Room A, Albany, N.Y.
