Maryland Insurance Commissioner Alfred W. Redmer has welcomed the Greater New York (GNY) Insurance Companies to the Maryland.
Warren W. Heck, GNY’s chairman and chief exexcutive fofficer announced the companies expanded its operations into Maryland effective Oct. 1, 2004.
“GNY is a welcome addition to those insurance companies already doing business in Maryland,” said Redmer.
GNY is licensed to do business in 44 states and the District of Columbia. In 2003, it was the fourth largest of writer of commercial peril insurance in New York State and that state’s second largest writer of the general liability component of commercial multi-peril insurance.
