Cindy Hoffman and Lisa Gorman recently joined Connecticut Underwriters Inc., based in Middletown Conn.
Hoffman joins the firm as a commercial lines underwriter. She will focus on new business quoting. During her 34-year career she has worked for large insurance companies such as American States, Aetna and Fireman’s Fund (1971 – 1980) and then moved to a retail agency from 1981-1998. She has worked in the excess lines industry as an underwriter since 1998.
Gorman joins the firm as an assistant underwriter, focusing on renewal business quoting. Gorman has worked for Allstate Insurance Company during the past 15 years and for an independent agency where she managed commercial renewal business.
