Evans, Gatto Join Vermont Mutual Board

John N. Evans, Ph.D., has been elected as a director for Vermont Mutual Insurance Company, Northern Security Insurance Company, Inc. and Granite Mutual Insurance Company. Evans is the dean of the University Of Vermont College Of Medicine. He has been a member of the faculty of the College of Medicine since 1976.

Michele S. Gatto has also been elected as a director. Gatto was appointed executive vice president for corporate services and general counsel of The National Life Group in May, 2003.
