To help members explore and implement the myriad benefits of technology into their businesses, the Professional Insurance Agents of New York State, New Jersey, Connecticut and New Hampshire unveiled an updated PIA Technology Info Central, providing members with a one-stop shop for technology news, real-time initiatives, vendors and consumer information for their Web sites and more.
The site, which is available by logging on to PIA’s Web site (www.pia.org), has been updated to include more real-time vendors and to be more user friendly and functional. Also through PIA Technology Info Central, PIA members can access real-time implementation options; keep current with the latest technology news; obtain materials to assist in creating and updating their agency Web sites; learn about PIA’s featured technology consultant of the month; see daily antivirus alerts, user group information as well as overall industry technology efforts; and more.
“Technology evolves quicker than most agents can keep up with it and tools like real-time transactions and comparative rating are vital to an agency’s efficiency and profitability,” said Diane Kattrein, CAE, executive director, PIANY, PIANJ, PIACT and PIANH. “By turning on Real Time and using Download, agents can improve workflow, save time, and avoid errors and omissions claims. PIA’s Technology Info Central provides members with a trouble-free way to explore and adopt the easier, faster communication tools available to them.”
