An escalator malfunction at Giants Stadium is leading to lawsuits.
Eight people have filed notices that they intend to sue the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority over injuries they sustained. They were leaving a Giants-Patriots game in December when the escalator suddenly picked up speed.
Officials have not determined what caused the problem.
Sports Authority spokesman John Samerjan says he won’t comment further until the investigation is complete.
