Boston-based medical liability insurer ProMutual Group has appointed Gregg L. Hanson as chief operating officer.
Hanson previously served as the company’s senior vice president of Underwriting and also supervised the Marketing, Risk Management and Physician Education Departments. In his new capacity, Hanson will oversee the company’s Claims, Information Technology and Human Resources operations in addition to his current responsibilities.
Prior to joining ProMutual Group in 2000, Hanson was senior
vice president of Southern Operations and Underwriting for ProNational Insurance Co. Past positions include numerous executive positions with St. Paul Insurance Company, which encompassed underwriting and marketing as well as overall operational management.
