Dennis J. Hayes has been appointed special deputy superintendent of the New York Liquidation Bureau (NYLB).
Hayes has been a senior executive at NYLB since 1996, most recently serving as assistant special deputy superintendent.
As special deputy superintendent, Hayes will head the NYLB, reporting to Acting Superintendent James J. Wrynn.
The NYLB works to rehabilitate financially impaired insurers and carry out an orderly liquidation of insolvent companies.
He replaces Mark Peters, who served as head of the NYLB since April 2007.
