Wood Joins PMA as Assistant Vice President

Pennsylvania-based risk management firm PMA Cos. has hired Sandy Wood as assistant vice president for product management, Managed Care Services.

Wood’s responsibilities include leading the design, development, implementation and evaluation of the PMA Cos.’ workers’ compensation medical management programs, including utilization management, case management, peer review and catastrophic management.

She has over 16 years’ expertise in managed care services, with particular expertise in leading profitable expansion, sales growth and operational efficiencies in business units. She most recently served as director of Member Care Management Programs, Integrated Health Management & Innovation, for Excellus BlueCross, BlueShield.
