Florida-based insurance agency Brown & Brown has acquired Meridian Group of New York, Inc.
Meridian Group, with annual revenues of approximately $1.3 million, provides life, health, and other employee benefits products and services to individuals, businesses, public entities, non-profit organizations, unions and associations throughout New York State.
Meridian Group principals Ross Kraft and Andrew Biernat and their staff will combine their operations into Brown & Brown of New York’s Rome, New York office, under the leadership of David Carello.
Brown & Brown has announced several agency acquisitions in the past week, including one in South Carolina and one in Georgia. In May, the Florida firm acquired four retail insurance agencies in central and southeastern Connecticut with combined revenues of $7.2 million.
