Morrill Group, an independent insurance agency based in Norwood, Mass., has acquired Goldman Ernest & Liner Insurance Agency of Needham, Mass.
Goldman, Ernest & Liner Insurance Agency Inc. will operate as a subsidiary of Morrill Insurance. Stephen Liner will become vice president and head of commercial lines for the combined entities.
Founded in 1879, Morrill Group offers personal and commercial insurance and has offices in Norwood, Sudbury (Sudbury Insurance Agency) and Wrentham.
North Bridge Advisors, which represented Morrill Group, is a Concord, Mass.-based consulting firm specializing in insurance agency acquisitions and mergers.
