Authorities have identified the fatal stabbing suspect fatally shot by Philadelphia police over the weekend.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports officers shot and killed 22-year-old Eric Radcliff because he lunged at them with a knife as they tried to take him into custody on Saturday.
Officers suspected Radcliff of stabbing 52-year-old Waterford Township, N.J. insurance agent Charles Fricker.
Investigators say Radcliff stabbed Fricker during a robbery then fled on a bicycle before trying to hide in the basement of a home a few blocks away. Officials say officers tried to use a stun gun to subdue Radcliff but he lunged at police with a butcher knife.
