Mario Vitale, co-CEO of Aspen Insurance in New York, and Robert Solitro, chairman of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions U.S. Cos. in Manchester, N.H., have been elected as new board members of the American Insurance Association.
“We are pleased to announce that our newest members, Aspen Specialty and Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, have both joined AIA’s board of directors,” said Leigh Ann Pusey, AIA president and CEO. “We welcome the addition of these new companies from our diverse membership to the board.”
The AIA board members currently include: Zurich North America Commercial CEO Michael Foley as board chairman; One Beacon Insurance Group CEO T. Michael Miller as chairman-elect; and Travelers Companies CEO Jay Fishman who previously served as board chairman.
The American Insurance Association is a property/casualty insurance trade organization, representing 300 insurers that write more than $100 billion in premiums each year.
