Cross Insurance, a subsidiary of Bangor, Maine-based Cross Financial Corp. and one of the largest independent insurance providers in New England, hired Michael Dufour as vice president of commercial lines at the firm’s Augusta, Maine, office.
Dufour will manage the commercial lines department in the Augusta location. He will also be responsible for risk management services for select clients. Previously, he spent 26 years with Willis of Northern New England, most recently as vice president.
Founded in 1954, Cross Insurance currently has approximately 500 employees, servicing over 22,000 customers throughout the New England region. The firm provides a wide range of insurance and financial products including personal and commercial insurance lines, employee benefits, surety bonds, comprehensive risk management advice and counsel, and specialized products focused on higher education and high net worth needs.
