USI Appoints Senior Benefits Consultant in New York Office

USI Insurance Services appointed Deborah Watters as senior benefits consultant. She is based in USI’s New York metropolitan office.

Watters brings over 20 years of experience in the employee benefit industry from varied perspectives, including the insurance carrier and the corporate environments. In this role, Watters’ focus is to provide clients with strategic consultation, relationship management and financial analysis to assist them in achieving both short- and long-term goals.

Before joining USI, Watters served as vice president of key accounts at Corporate Synergies Group, managing the benefits programs for large- and middle-market employers. She has also worked as an underwriter at Aetna, where she gained financial and technical expertise regarding the group insurance industry. Additionally, at Merck, as the director of benefits, she was responsible for managing the benefits program for the active and retired populations.

Founded in 1994, USI is a distributor of property/casualty and employee benefits products to businesses throughout the United States. The corporate headquarters is based in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., and USI operates out of 100 offices in 26 states. USI is substantially owned by investment funds affiliated with Onex Corporation and certain key employees of USI.
