Markel Global Insurance announced that Alan Rodrigues has joined the Excess Liability team based in New York. He will assume the title of managing director and assume responsibility for developing a middle-to-upper-middle market product.
Rodrigues has more than 35 years of underwriting and management experience and has held positions with Axis Insurance, General Star Management Company, Safeco, and IRB. He is a member of both the California Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
He will be reporting to John Boylan, chief underwriting officer for Excess Liability.
Markel Global provides excess liability, professional liability, marine and property insurance.
