H.J. Knight International Insurance Agency, a Braintree, Mass., based full service brokerage firm specializing in insurance and risk management solutions, has named Joscelyn Urnek to the newly created position of director of claims.
In this role, she will oversee, analyze and evaluate the claims and loss control process for the firm’s captive clients. This comes as the firm has seen continued growth in its captive program, Executive Vice President Matt Lanza said in a company press release.
Prior to joining Knight International, Urnek was a resolution manager for Gallagher Bassett Inc., a claims management and risk control firm that operates worldwide. Her role included addressing claims, analyzing exposure and determining an appropriate settlement or claim’s resolution. Her industry experience prior to Gallagher Bassett included work in the automotive industry on warranty and related information.
