Safety National Re has hired Lydia Wilmot as vice president and Stephanie Wizner as assistant vice president. Wilmot and Wizner will be based out of New York.
With more than 15 years of combined industry-related insurance and reinsurance experience, both Wilmot and Wizner bring to Safety National Re a focus on the underwriting of medical and non-medical professional liability treaty reinsurance business.
In their new roles, Wilmot and Wizner will be responsible for the production and underwriting of broker market professional liability treaty reinsurance opportunities.
Their addition will allow Safety National Re to expand its professional specialty capabilities to further enhance its reinsurance platform, according to Ray Harkins, senior vice president and head of Safety National Re, in a company press release.
Safety National Re offers a variety of reinsurance solutions, including market terms for a range of workers’ compensation excess of loss products, casualty clash and contingency programs, general casualty programs with workers’ compensation exposure and specialty casualty programs for niche portfolios. Safety National Re is a division of Safety National Casualty Corporation, which is backed by parent company Tokio Marine Holdings.
