Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut Names Black PIA National Director

The Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut has named Jonathan T. Black of Fairfield, Conn., its PIA National Director.

PIACT is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies and their employees throughout the state.

Black owns Curtis-Black Insurance Associates LLC in Danbury, Conn.

With nearly 45 years of experience in the insurance industry, Black is licensed to write auto, home, life and health insurance policies in Connecticut. He has been a PIACT member since 1980.

He served as president of the association from 1994 to 1995 and currently is a member of PIACT’s Legislative/Business Issues Committee. Black also is chair of the PIA Group Trust.

As an active member of the insurance industry, Black is chair of the Connecticut Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.
