NSM Insurance Group, a Conshohocken, Penn.-based administrator of industry-specific programs, has hired Richard Meuret as program director of Care Providers Insurance Services, the social service and nonprofit division of NSM.
Meuret brings more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry to his new role, with technical and operational expertise. An actuary by trade, he has experience in the analysis and development of risk pricing, underwriting and operations. Throughout his career, he has led teams and managed operations at carriers such as Liberty Mutual and Allstate.
His skillset is expected to drive the profitable growth of Care Providers as well as shape the strategy and development of new areas of business for NSM as a whole, according to NSM CEO Geof McKernan in a company press release.
NSM Insurance Group’s insurance programs include social services and behavioral health; CAT driven property; collector cars; workers’ compensation; staffing; sports and fitness; breweries and wineries; professional liability for architects and engineers; and pet insurance. The company is seeking to acquire additional program managers and niche-specific insurance businesses in the future.
