SafeWaters Underwriting Managers (SafeWaters) has appointed Kevin Kempf as vice president and head of cargo in the U.S. Kempf is based in Melville, N.Y.
He joined SafeWaters on April 1, 2018, and brings knowledge of cargo insurance and more than fourteen years of professional experience in the insurance industry to his new role.
Kempf’s primary focus will be on cargo and logistics in the U.S. market, working closely with the property and casualty teams of the different RSGUM entities. He will also provide support to SafeWaters’ Latin American cargo and logistics initiative.
Prior to joining SafeWaters, he worked for Axa, where he held various roles and gained knowledge of the transport sector both on a national and international level.
