American Property Insurance Company (APIC), a licensed and admitted commercial insurance carrier headquartered in Eatontown, N.J., has appointed Steven T. Hicks as company controller.
Reporting to the chief financial officer, Hicks will supervise internal management information reporting as well as functional expense control of general and administrative operating expenses.
Previously, Hicks was employed as a financial management analyst by Accenture plc, an international professional services firm, and by Johnson & Johnson.
APIC currently operates in the states of New Jersey, South Carolina, Florida, Maryland, Tennessee, Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Alabama, Nevada and Virginia. It is represented by licensed, local independent agents who sell its commercial insurance policies throughout its ten operating states.
